An East Bladen High School graduate and beloved mother, grandmother, and friend passed away recently. Local community members have reached out and asked to help spread the love and show support for Melissa Murchison and her family.
She graduated Class of 1993 and raised her children here in Bladen County.
Some reports say Ms. Murchison passed away due to a massive heart attack.
Ms. Murchison’s friend, Mrs. Jennifer Potter, organized a GoFundMe page in her honor. Mrs. Potter states the following about Ms. Murchison on the fundraiser site, “She was a very special person, with an amazing personality and a contagious smile, who was extremely close with her family…”
Mrs. Potter continued, “We know that Melissa and her children have touched many lives in our community over the years, and have a lot of upcoming and unexpected expenses. Should anyone wish to make a contribution to assist with funeral and other expenses, it would be greatly appreciated.”
