Thoughts While ShavingThe West Bladen Dixie Pre-Majors baseball team, coaches and supporters head south today.  They will be participating in the World Series as the North Carolina champ.  They play their first game Saturday against the Alabama champ, Ozark… Game time is 11 a.m. and we will using Scorecast to follow the action.  It’s a double elimination series.  Opening ceremonies are planned for Friday night…We are excited about offering Scorecast…only on BladenOnline.
We have some great youngsters at every level of Dixie Youth… A salute to all… John Clark covers it all on BladenOnline…
Drugs have been the downfall for many good folks…When I was growing up… no such thing. Maybe a little home brew…
Think about how small farms were a few years ago… There were jobs for adults and youngsters… 4 or 5 acres of tobacco was the norm…corn, peanuts, cotton, soybeans and a nice garden, all on a 20 acre or less farm…Supported many families…My, how times have changed….
Our fearless leader is headed to the hospital for some much needed medical assistance…Or prayers and thoughts are for Charlotte and her family…We will cover for her as she recuperates. Keep the family in your thoughts and prayers…
