ELIZABETHTOWN – Chace Butler, Jabril Algozy and Tony Ventura fired in 2 goals each to lead Elizabethtown to an 8-0 Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys’ soccer victory over East Columbus Thursday.

Butler also delivered a pass to Tony Ventura who banged in the 1st goal only 12 seconds into the game. A minute later Algozy found the back of the net to push the Cougar lead to 2-0.

In the 7th minute Butler turned a feed from Algozy into the 3rd Cougar goal. Butler struck again with an unassisted goal in the 10th minute. Algozy knocked in his 2nd goal in the 19th minute as the lead grew to 5-0.

Colton Daly boomed in a long shot in the 24th minute to stretch the lead to 6-0 at halftime. Ventura drilled in his 2nd goal in the 32nd minute, and Damion Alonzo capped the Cougar scoring with a goal in the 48th minute.

Fernando Rebollar recorded the shutout in goal for Elizabethtown but didn’t have to make any saves.

Coach Jay Raynor’s Cougars improved to 3-0 with the victory.
