WILSON – Former West Bladen star Trevor Lesane walloped a home run and drove in 2 runs as his Erskine Flying Fleet pounded Belmont Abbey 11-1 Thursday in the opening round of the Conference Carolinas Baseball Championship Tournament.

Lesane hammered his first home run of the season over the left field fence leading off the 6th inning to stretch the Erskine lead to 7-1. The Tar Heel native ripped a single to left in the 7th inning that drove in Nick McAlist and pushed the Erskine lead to 11-1.
The Flying Fleet improved to 23-18 on the season and will play 5th seeded Barton College, the tournament host team, at 7 p.m. Friday.
