Dixie Youth Baseball’s district tournaments will continue this weekend with Pembroke hosting the District 9 Minors (AAA) and Majors Tournaments. The District 2 Minors (AAA) tourney will begin Saturday in Hallsboro.
Coach Cory Corbett’s Elizabethtown All-Stars will not play in the District 9 Majors Tournament because they will be the host team for the DYB State Majors Tournament that will begin in Elizabethtown on July 16th.
However an Elizabethtown team coached by Rusty Hill will play in the District 9 Majors tournament, and they will open play Friday night in Pembroke against West Robeson at 6 p.m.
Coach B. Jay Pait’s Elizabethtown AAA All-Stars will play their opening game in the District 9 Minors (AAA) Tournament Saturday morning in Pembroke at 10.
At Hallsboro, Coach Johnathan McMillian’s Bladen County All-Stars open play Saturday at 1 p.m. against Whiteville American. The 6-team double-elimination tournament will continue daily through Thursday.
