BUIES CREEK – Former East Bladen star Chris Cromartie made 6 tackles Saturday, but his Campbell Camels dropped a 30-7 Big South Conference decision to No. 11-ranked Kennesaw State on Homecoming Day.

Levi Wiggins returned a Kennesaw State fumble 94 yards for a touchdown midway the 2nd quarter to give the Camels a 7-0 lead. The Owls rallied with a 75-yard scoring drive to even the count 7-7 at halftime then tacked on 23 unanswered points in the 2nd half.

Cromartie, a senior defensive tackle, now has 27 tackles – 7 solo – in 7 games. The Camels, now 2-2 in conference play and 3-4 overall, will travel to Charleston Southern next Saturday for a 1 p.m. game.
