The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Bladen County beginning at 1 a.m. Saturday until 10 a.m. Saturday. The forecast calls for around one inch of snow expected.

This is the third consecutive weekend that Bladen County has been placed under a weather alert.

Friday’s forecast calls for a slight chance of rain after p.m. with increasing clouds and a high near 50.

Friday night there’s a slight chance of rain before 4 a.m., then a chance of snow with a low around 30 and less than a half-inch of snow accumulation.

Saturday, snow is forecast likely before 7 a.m., then a chance of snow showers between 7 a.m. and noon. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing with a high near 39. New snow accumulation is expected to be less than an inch.

By Saturday night, the forecast calls for clear skies with a low around 19.
