*It was announced that over 700 people attended the Meet The Candidates Night held at the Elizabethtown Armory and sponsored by the Bladen YDC. Club. New officers of the Bladen YDC were Robert Hester, President, Rev. E.R. Cheek, Vice President, Sylvia Campbell, Secretary, and James Melvin, Treasurer.
*The N.C. Highway Patrol announced that 4 accidents took place in Bladen County with a combined loss of $2,500.
