FAYETTEVILLE – Sophomore Naythien Peterson-McNamara pitched a 5-inning, 1-hitter and struck out 7 batters to lead South View to a 6-0 victory over East Bladen Tuesday morning in the consolation round of the Bulldog Easter Invitational baseball tournament at Terry Sanford High.

Junior Weston Hatcher led off the East Bladen 5th inning with a single. Caleb Scruggins was hit by a pitch and both runners moved up on a passed ball. Hatcher was called out at the plate attempting to score on a passed ball. Senior Chase Starkloff drew a walk, but a fly-out ended the game.

Senior Julio Camacho-Rivera batted 2-for-3 with a double, a run batted in and a run scored to lead the Tiger hitters. Senior Dylan Brown had 2 RBIs, and sophomore Jabari Lee singled and scored 2 runs.

Junior Evan Pait pitched 3.1 innings for the Eagles allowing 5 runs – 3 earned – on 3 hits, 2 walks and a hit batter while striking out six. Junior Coleman Tatum worked 0.2 innings of relief and gave up a run on 2 hits and a hit batter while striking out one.
