The Bladen County Sheriff’s Department was on campus this morning to investigate a report that a student was in possession of a firearm while on campus. We take every report seriously and everyone worked quickly to address this claim. College Security and Deputy Sheriffs remained on campus throughout the investigation to ensure the safety of our campus community. We are thankful for the strong partnership we have with our local law enforcement agency and appreciate their support and presence this morning. Due to the quick action taken by our Director of Security, Danny Priest, and our Bladen County Deputy on duty, Joey Todd, there was no danger to anyone on campus.
