WHITEVILLE– Katherine Mejia Rodriguez fired in a 2nd half goal that lifted Tar Heel to a 1-0 Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls’ soccer victory over Whiteville Central Thursday in their season opener.
Abigail Dew recorded the shutout in goal for the Lady Panthers and was credited with 3 saves.
Tar Heel will visit Elizabethtown Monday for a 4 p.m. game.
