ELIZABETHTOWN – East Bladen’s Lady Eagles ran their volleyball winning streak to 4 in a row Wednesday night as they defeated Fairmont 3-1 in Southeastern Athletic Conference action by set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 15-25 and 25-15.

Senior Acee Campbell sparked the Lady Eagles to an early 9-2 lead by capturing 6 consecutive service points. Senior Emma Turbeville grew the lead to 13-3 with a trio of service points. Senior Maegan Burney kept the margin at 21-11 with 3 more service points, before Acee Campbell served out the set with a trio of service points.

With East holding a slim 9-8 lead in the 2nd set, senior AnnaGrey Heustess reeled off 4 straight service points for a 13-8 lead. A trio of Burney service points kept the Lady Eagles up 18-9, before Turbeville served out the set with 4 consecutive points.

A trio of Turbeville service points vaulted East in front briefly at 9-6 in the 3rd set, but a 19-6 Fairmont rally took the set.

Burney fired in a service run of 6 straight points to give the Lady Eagles an early 10-2 lead in the 4th set. A pair of service points from senior Trinity Cromartie kept East on top 15-7. Junior Dyiamon Robinson served out the match with a trio of service points.

Burney poured in 15 service points for the winners. Acee Campbell finished with 13 service points. Turbeville racked up 11 service points, and Heustess chipped in with 10 service points. Robinson tallied 4 service points, and Cromartie added 2 service points.

Coach Jordan Raynor’s Lady Eagles improve to 3-1 in SAC-7 play and 6-4 overall. East Bladen will travel to Red Springs Tuesday night.
