The Bladen County Board of Commissioners will meet in regular session at 6:30 p.m. today at the courthouse.

The agenda includes 2 Public Hearings, both related to funding and administering of the Bladen Area Rural Transportation System (BARTS).

Employees who have reached a milestone in their careers with the county will be recognized.

Commissioners will consider accepting a bid to begin the ‘upset bid process for the purchase of county owned real property.’

The board will receive a financial update on the first three months of the current fiscal year. Finance Officer Lisa Coleman will ask commissioners to consider approving a Bladen County credit card use policy & bank credit card use agreement, and discuss financial and budgetary policies.

David Howell, Medical Services Director, will provide an update on services provided by the agency he supervises, including options that have been discussed by the board of commissioners, with the cost of upgrades to the agency.

Greg Martin, County Manager, is expected to present updates related to the board’s Strategic Plan.

The board will meet in closed session to discuss personnel.

The regular meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
