The New Light Church Family Life Center was vandalized overnight Tuesday, damaging several areas of the facility, Bladenboro Police Chief Chris Hunt said.
It’s not known how many people were involved, Hunt said, but a window was broken to gain entrance to the facility located on Chestnut Street in Bladenboro. A fire extinguisher in the building was used to spray inside a women’s restroom, a closet where Christmas decorations are kept, and on the floor of the gymnasium. The front of a vending machine also was broken. Hunt said church officials did not believe anything was missing.
