Southeastern Health’s (SeHealth) President and CEO Joann Anderson announced the appointment of Jason Cox as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Southeastern Regional Medical Center (SRMC).

His major focus areas include: nursing/patient care areas, emergency and intensivist physicians, behavioral health, surgical services, anesthesia services, food services, laboratory, medical imaging and pharmacy, all of which are based out of SRMC, the main hub of the SeHealth system.

“I am pleased to have Jason as a member of the leadership team for SeHealth,” said Anderson. “He brings a lot of experience and energy to the role.  I look forward to working with him.”

Cox earned a master’s degree in public administration from Bowie State University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration from UNC Chapel Hill. He has served in management roles in health care for 14 years and spent several years in the United States Military. He holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt in process improvement techniques by The George Group.

Relocating from Dawsonville, Ga., Cox served as CEO of Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dehlonega, Ga. He and his wife, Kelli, have three children and plan to reside in Lumberton.
