Vicki_Clark_BBladenboro’s Vickie Clark, who was voted off the Biggest Loser show Monday, took time to talk about her experience on the show.

She said her time on the show was both challenging as well as a learning experience. Clark said being a contestant on Biggest Loser “ranks right up there.”

“Behind my medical mission trips, it would come in a close second. I still can’t believe that we were chosen for such an opportunity and it has been a huge opportunity. It still is a surreal thing,” said Clark of her time on the show.

She said it was one of the most challenging things she has experienced both physically, emotionally and spiritually.

“For me I think the biggest challenge was two fold. It was being away from my support system. Those other cast members were all supportive,” said Clark.

She added that being away from her support system, being cut off from her family and friends, and cut off from corporate worship were all difficult.

Fellow contestant Tonsheia “Toy” Grandison also joined Clark for the interview and said it was also difficult to be away from her family and she, too, missed her worship services.

Clark said the experience also taught her a lot about herself.

“Taught me that I’m a lot stronger than I thought I was. I can do so many things I never thought I would be doing,” said Clark.

You may not be as fast or perform as well as someone else, but it has taught her that she can do anything she sets her mind to doing.

When asked about the transition to returning home, Clark said that it has been hard.

“It’s been difficult for me. There’s a lot of distractions, we talked about distractions. There’s a lot of distractions, that will come up during the day and I found I am the most successful when I get up before everybody else,” said Clark.

She added that one of the best aspects is that she is eating “clean.” Clark said that when she feels like giving in and going for that cheeseburger, she remembers that live weigh in that will take place on Feb. 22 and uses it as motivation to continue with the practices she learned as a contestant on the Biggest Loser.

Grandison added that she, too, has had her moments. She said that many of the contestants have become accustomed to the routines and schedules of being on Biggest Loser. Grandison said she stays motivated by reminding herself she has a goal she wants to achieve. She is looking forward to the live weigh-in on Feb. 22 as well.

Both Clark and Grandison said they are both continuing to work out and keeping motivated.

Clark was asked if she was surprised that Colby voted her off. She replied, “You pray and do what you feel like the Lord wants you to.”

Lauren Clark is still a contestant on Biggest Loser. Tune in next week to see how Lauren does.
