Wallace-Rose Hill grabbed a 17-7 first-quarter lead and maintained that margin for a 58-46 Four County Conference jayvee boys victory at West Bladen Tuesday night.

Freshman Kerron Washington tossed in 5 first quarter points for West Bladen and added 5 more points in the second quarter as the Knights whittled one point off the Bulldog lead. Teammate Gerardo Reyes fired in 6 points in the second quarter, and guard Jaheim Lesane threw in 4 points, but the Knights still trailed 35-26 at halftime.

Wallace led 41-32 after 3 quarters. Reyes and Nhyki Richardson bombed in 3-point shots in the final period, but the Bulldogs outscored West 17-14 in the quarter.

Washington led the Knights with 16 points, and Reyes pumped in 15 points. Richardson finished with 7 points and 4 rebounds, and Lesane tallied 6 points. Eddie Perez grabbed 5 rebounds and had 2 steals. Richardson and Reyes had one steal each.

West Bladen will travel to Wallace-Rose Hill for a rematch Wednesday night.
