The Bladenboro Historical Society placed monuments in front of four newly planted Crepe Myrtle trees at noon on Friday, Jan. 29. The trees are part of an ongoing landscaping project started this year by the Society.

A landscape committee was appointed to research and develop a plan for beautification of the building. With the help of Bruce McLean, Bladen County Extension Office and the approval of the board, the plan was set in motion. The Historical Society voted to have the trees donated in honor or memory of someone in the community.
