Saturday night in Columbia SC, Tabitha Sessoms of Bladenboro was awarded the 2015 Novice Amateur Western Pleasure Champion for the state of South Carolina.

Tabitha competed on Chip Alone Gold, a 2003 sorrel gelding, and she competed on the South Carolina Quarter Horse circuit with no trainer, just her husband Tony.

However she wanted to thank those people who helped her along the way including Ken Moore of Camden, SC who bred, raised and trained Scruffy and taught Tabitha and Tony what they know about showing horses. Scruffy is Chip Alone Gold’s barn name.

The Sessoms also expressed their gratitude to Wendy Folsom of Hartsville, SC who sold them Scuffy, Jamie Pait of Bladenboro who has helped them along the way, Johnny Woodard, Scruffy’s farrier from Laurel Hill, and Dr. Travis Blackwelder of Statesville who was Scruffy’s vet.
