The Bladen County Board of Commissioners will meet in regular session on Monday night.

The Commissioners will recognize Desmond Bryant and his family during the meeting.

In the consent agenda, the board will approve budget amendments, county attorney invoices, designate Vice-Chairman Arthur Bullock as the voting delegate for the NCACC Annual Conference, approve the FY 2015-16 Community Care Block Grant for Older Adults Close Out, FY 2016-17 Home and Community Care Block Grant Revision and adopt a resolution to declare certain property surplus.

The board will hear an update from Bladen County Sheriff’ Jim McVicker regarding a request from the NC Highway Patrol for office space. NCSHP has proposed to fund a communications tower at the new Law Enforcement & Detention Center site in exchange for the use of office space in the new facility.

The board will be asked to consider approving a job reclassification of Maintenance Mechanic II to Lead Maintenance Mechanic.

The board will consider an appointment to the White Lake Planning and Zoning Board.

In preparation for the Aug. 15, meeting, the board is asked to consider appointments to the Highway Safety Committee and the Juvenile Crime Prevention Control.

Bladen County Manager Greg Martin will present the calendar update, he will also present for approval a National Fish & Wildlife Foundation project funding agreement regarding a Lock and Dam No. 2 and No. 3 Fishway Construction Project, give an update regarding per diem reimbursement for travel and give an update regarding FY 2016-17 Community Funding.
