There is little middle ground for supporters and those who are not overly impressed with our new President. President Donald R. Trump has hit the ground running, to the delight of his supporters and frustration of those who do not support him. Whatever your thoughts, he is our President and deserves our support. If he succeeds, our chances of succeeding are better. Some things never change.
Can you believe this February weather? Some are concerned that plants, such as blueberries, may be fooled by mother nature and with the possibility of colder weather ahead, could be a problem. Hope not.
Remember when our schools were heated with coal and each classroom had radiators. Those ‘stoking’ the fire were delighted when we had warm days like this year.
NCHSAA Class 2A basketball playoffs begin tonight. First Flight of Kill Devil Hills and West Bladen square off in 1st round play. Both teams are 17-9. Game time is 7 PM at West Bladen.
First Flight girls (14-8) will also play in Bladen County this evening. They play at East Bladen (21-5), this evening. Game time is 7 PM.
West Bladen’s Lady Knights (12-14) will be on the road at South West Edgecombe (18-4) for a 7 PM game.
