Clarkton School of Discovery swept both games of a non-conference softball double-header at Bladenboro Tuesday by scores of 19-4 and 18-3.
Johanna Parker slammed a double and a single and scored twice for the Lady Blue Devils. Teammate Adrian Howell batted 2-3 and catcher Erica McKoy belted 2 hits in 4 at-bats.
Carliegh DeVane and Abby Cross added one hit each to the winners attack. Winning pitcher Anna Kate White scored 3 runs for CSD.
White allowed 2 hits, 2 walks and hit a batter, while striking out two.
Catcher Kasee Singletary batted 2-2 to lead the Lady Bulldog hitters. Bladenboro pitcher Kayla Dowless only issued 2 walks in the game.
In Game Two, the Lady Blue Devils capitalized on 17 walks. DeVane led the Clarkton hitters with 2 hits in 2 at-bats. Teammate Esther Jimenez-Ward hammered a double.
T. T. Gaddy and Cybil Campbell smacked one hit each for the winners, and Parker walked 3 times and scored 3 runs.
White also pitched the second game for Clarkton and gave up 5 hits.
Kaylee Hester, Singletary, Jada Lofton and Alyssa Smith all batted a perfect 1-1 for Bladenboro, and teammate Erica Storms was 1-2 at the plate. Katie Guyton started in the circle for the Lady Bulldogs.
