RALEIGH -East Bladen grad Lexi Dawson batted 4-4 for St. Andrews Tuesday in a double-header at Meredith College. Meredith swept the double-header by scores of 2-1 and 8-0.

Dawson swatted a single down the leftfield line in the first inning of Tuesday’s opener and rapped a single through the middle to lead off the fourth inning. In her final at-bat Dawson drew a walk to finish 2-2 for the game.

In the nightcap Dawson hammered a double to right-centerfield in the second inning then raked a single to right field in the fourth inning.

Dawson slammed 2 doubles, knocked in 2 runs and scored a run in a 7-5 victory over Montreat College Saturday.

For the season Dawson is batting .324 with a slugging percentage of .423 and has 7 doubles and 9 runs batted in. The Garland native has started 23 games and played in 31 games for the Lady Knights who own a 12-26 record.

St. Andrews will host Shaw University in a double-header Tuesday at 1 p.m.
