WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC), member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, attended a confirmation hearing for Secretary of the Air Force Nominee Dr. Heather Wilson and expressed his support for her confirmation.

“We currently have the smallest Air Force in our nation’s modern history with a shortage of more than 1,000 pilots and only 4 out of over 50 Air Force squadrons that are fully qualified,” said Senator Tillis. “We are at a time when we need strong leadership in the Air Force and I appreciate Dr. Wilson taking on the important task and I look forward to supporting her nomination.”
