West Bladen’s Knights have been seeded fifth in the Robeson County Baseball Slugfest that begins Saturday, April 4th at South Robeson.
Coach Kim Cain’s Knights will play at 1 p.m. Saturday against No. 4 seed Red Springs (5-2). A victory over Red Springs would send the Knights into the semi-finals against the winner of the game between No. 1 seed Purnell Swett (8-1) and No. 8 seed St. Pauls (0-8).
On the other side of the Slugfest bracket are No. 2 seed Lumberton (5-3), No. 7 Hoke County (3-7), No. 3 FaIrmont (5-2) and No. 6 South Robeson (3-2).
In last year’s championship game, Purnell Swett defeated Fairmont 5-1.
The semi-final games will be played on Monday, April 6th, and the tournament will conclude on Tuesday, April 7th.
