West Bladen High School LogoWest Bladen’s Knights have been seeded fifth in the Robeson County Baseball Slugfest that begins Saturday, April 4th at South Robeson.

Coach Kim Cain’s Knights will play at 1 p.m. Saturday against No. 4 seed Red Springs (5-2). A victory over Red Springs would send the Knights into the semi-finals against the winner of the game between No. 1 seed Purnell Swett (8-1) and No. 8 seed St. Pauls (0-8).

On the other side of the Slugfest bracket are No. 2 seed Lumberton (5-3), No. 7 Hoke County (3-7), No. 3  FaIrmont (5-2) and No. 6 South Robeson (3-2).

In last year’s championship game, Purnell Swett defeated Fairmont 5-1.

The semi-final games will be played on Monday, April 6th, and the tournament will conclude on Tuesday, April 7th.
