WASHINGTON – This Saturday, Congressman Robert Pittenger held “Service Academy Day” events in Fayetteville and Charlotte for local students interested in attending West Point, the Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy, or the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Approximately 250 students, parents and teachers attended the events.
“Just as the Greatest Generation rose to the challenge to defeat the forces of evil and tyranny, a new generation faces new threats from rouge states and Radical Islamic terrorism,” said Congressman Pittenger. “How humbling and inspiring to see so many young people interested in answering the call to serve their country.”
