More than 3,500 registered voters have cast ballots through Saturday during one-stop voting at five sites in Bladen County, according to figures released by the Board of Elections.

Hours for one-stop — or early voting as it’s often referred — are 8 a.m.-7:30 p.m. weekdays, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. One-stop voting will continue through Saturday. The election is scheduled Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Registered voters may cast a ballot at any of the one-stop voting sites through Saturday, Nov. 5. Registered voters are required to cast a ballot at their assigned polling place on election day.

The Board of Elections office at 301 South Cypress Street in Elizabethtown has had 1,867 registered voters cast a ballot from Thursday, Oct. 20 through Saturday, Oct. 29 among candidates for U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, several judgeships, Bladen Sheriff’s Office, Bladen Board of Education and a handful of other Bladen County offices.

Other vote totals from one-stop sites through Oct. 29 are Bladenboro 561, Tar Heel 418, Dublin 384 and East Arcadia 332. The vote totals for the five sites total 3,562, which is about 16% of the county’s approximately 22,000 people who are eligible to vote. The first day of voting on Oct. 20 had 532 ballots cast, which is the most of any day thus far.

One-stop sites are:

• Bladen County Board of Elections office, 301 S. Cypress St., Elizabethtown.

• Old Spaulding-Monroe School, 508 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Bladenboro.

• Dublin Town Hall, 7386 Albert St.

• East Arcadia Town Hall, 1472 East Arcadia Dr., Riegelwood

• Tar Heel Municipal Building, 14867 N.C. 87 West
