Springtime has come to Bladen County and activity abounds at Vineyard Golf At White Lake.
A very successful Bladen We Care Byron Gooden Tournament was held with 212 players participating. The Bay Tree VFD Tournament on May 11 and the Rotary Tournament on May 17 are just a few of the activities going on at Vineyard Golf. The Thundering Herd is held every Thursday at 6 p.m. The state 2A Mideast high school tournament was held with 23 schools and 68 players involved.
Some low scores shot recently were: Rick Marvin 73, J.B. Bordeaux 74, Brian Tart 75, Campbell White 75, Stacy Owen 73 and Don Salsbery (age 70) shot a two under 70 which included six birdies.
