Administrative professionals from various organizations and businesses in the community were honored on April 24th with an Administrative Professionals Day Luncheon hosted by Bladen Community College’s Continuing Education Department.  This event gave employers a great opportunity to show their appreciation to their administrative professionals—assistants, receptionists, secretaries and other office professionals.  Various businesses and agencies from the community participated along with BCC staff in this special event.

In addition to a delicious lunch, networking, and a drawing for door prizes, Dr. Antonia Beatty, Assistant Superintendent of Bladen County Schools, spoke on the importance of customer service in the workplace.  Dr. Beatty is a native of Bladen County.  She holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Fayetteville State University and a Master’s Degree in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.  Dr. Beatty earned a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Wingate University and has over 20 years experience in Bladen County Schools as a teacher, school administrator, and district office administrator.
