There is excitement in the air as American Pickers is looking for individuals in Bladen County who have large and rare collections or unusual items. It was announced on Thursday morning American Pickers is looking for leads in our area.

“I’m excited about it,” said Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Dawn Maynard.

She added this is an excellent opportunity to showcase our community.

“I think opportunities like this are great for our community because it reaches people outside the community,” said Maynard.

For those who are not familiar with the show, American Pickers features Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz and their team as they explore and film episodes for the History channel show. They are seeking sizable, unique collections or accumulations and learn the interesting stories behind them.

“As they hit the back roads from coast to coast, Mike and Frank are on a mission to recycle and rescue forgotten relics. Along the way, the Pickers want to meet characters with remarkable and exceptional items,” reads a press release.

If you have a large collection or have unusual or rare items, American Pickers wants to hear from you. American Pickers is looking for leads and would love to explore your hidden treasure. If you or someone you know has a large, private collection or accumulation of antiques that the Pickers can spend the better part of the day looking through, send us your name, phone number, location and description of the collection with photos to: americanpickers@cineflix.com or call 855-OLD-RUST. facebook: @GotAPick
