P-15 Animal Farm/Facility located near Clarkton in Bladen County; N.C. experienced an animal wastewater discharge of an estimated 13,200 gallons from a spray field at approximately 10:30 am on September 9, 2024. A cracked irrigation pipe was the source.
The wastewater entered an unnamed tributary to the Brown Marsh Swamp. Farm personnel implemented remediation efforts, and the Division of Water Resources of N.C. Department of Environmental Quality is monitoring the incident.
