Jamie Smith, Fire Chief of Clarkton Fire Department, released an announcement today for the citizens of Clarkton. Clarkton Fire Department will be conducting fire hydrant flow testing over the next few weeks (April 11, 2022 – April 30, 2022).
In the announcement, Smith stated, “Times that testing will be done are mostly evenings but some middays. Should you experience discolored water at any time, don’t worry. Water will return to its crystal clear color very quickly. These tests are necessary as well as state-mandated; please bear with us during this time. These tests are done annually to assure current fire protection water supply systems are working properly.”
