Warm, sunny skies greeted shoppers as the annual Labor Day Sidewalk Sale kicked off Friday morning in downtown Elizabethtown. Sale items could be found both inside and outside as merchants greeted eager shoppers.

Libby Davis of Lumberton spent her morning in Elizabethtown browsing the many sale items available during the Sidewalk Sale. She said she makes the trip to the annual sale each year.

Linda Evers of Dublin said, “We come every year.”

Both ladies said they love the annual event and enjoy the friendly merchants.

Outside on the sidewalk, Leinwand’s offered a variety of men’s suits and jackets, ladies jackets, mens and ladies t-shirts and shorts and shoes. Inside, there were markdowns found throughout the store.

Across the street at Fisher’s Men’s and Ladies Shop, a display of flip flops, men’s shirts, ladies clothing and a bench was filled with a variety of hats for shoppers to choose from. Shoppers were also checking out the sales inside store and taking advantage of many great deals.

Toddlers and Teens also had racks of children’s clothing and other items available for shoppers. Inside the store, there was also a variety of merchandise from which shoppers can make their selections.

The sidewalk sale will take place today, Saturday and Monday.
