Public Meeting

The April 2019 meeting of the Compassionate Friends Border Belt Chapter, serving the parents of Bladen county, will be held on the first Friday of the month at the Bladen County Senior Center, 608 McLeod St, Elizabethtown. The meeting is on Friday, April 5. The meeting time is 3 PM

The Compassionate Friends is a self-help group for parents whose children have died- at any age, from any cause. Our group welcomes you. We’re here to listen and share. Any adult who has experienced a loss of their child, grandchild or sibling may wish to attend. We meet to share and understand our grief to and help each other. Time has proven that with caring and sharing comes healing. Chapter members affirm that “When we get together, we help one another.” Together we find strength and solace. Together we discover that ‘We Do Not Walk Alone’. For more information, contact Jean Cross Burney at joanssister@hotmail.com or on Facebook.
The group also meets for lunch on the third Monday of the month. This month they will meet at the Village Buffet on Monday, April 15, at 11:30 AM to eat, have a social time and if needed a comfort time. Members always hope that those interested in learning more about the group will join them for lunch.
