Abdul Tucker

Bladen County Sheriff James A. McVicker announced the arrest Thursday, May 4, of Abdul Jabbar Tucker, 32, of 368 Lawrence Brown Road, Bladenboro. Tucker was charged with Robbery With a Dangerous Weapon.

Deputies began an investigation when the victims, Karkie Lamont Henry, 36 of 854 Clyde Hatcher Road, Council and Celestal Antonise Miles, 36, of 403 South Canal Street, Rowland, NC went to the Handee Hugo’s store on North Main Street in Bladenboro and reported they had been robbed at the home of Tucker.

The victims said they were at the residence visiting when Tucker produced a handgun and forced them to turn over $1,900.00 in cash.

Investigators arrested Tucker within hours of the robbery. He was placed in Bladen County jail under a $100,000 secured bond.

Tucker was still on probation after serving 8 years with the North Carolina Department of Corrections for Robbery With a Dangerous Weapon.
