On April 22, 2021, the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a parent that her 13 year-old daughter had been sexually assault over several years by here ex-boyfriend.
Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office along with the Department of Social Services looked into the incident and found evidence for an arrest.
On May 14, the suspect Jose Manuel Tacaj Chub, a 39 year-old, of Elizabethtown was arrested and charged with: Sex Offense With A Child, Statutory Rape, and Indecent Liberties with A Child. The bond was set at $300,000.00 and the defendant was placed in the Bladen County Detention Center.
