An arrest has been made in a shooting of a vehicle that occurred outside of Thee Factory on Martin Luther King Street in Elizabethtown last weekend.

Marcus Jermil Blake, 35, of Elizabethtown, was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019, and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, injury to personal property, going armed to the terror of the public, and discharging a firearm within the city limits. His bond was set at $19,700.

A vehicle in a parking lot near the club in Elizabethtown was shot multiple times last weekend, according to the Elizabethtown Police Department.

Lt. D. Cheshire with the Elizabethtown Police Department said right now, Blake is the only one charged.

When asked about what led up to the shooting, Lt. Cheshire said, “It’s still under investigation.”

Lt. Cheshire said, on the night of the shooting, police officers in the area heard multiple gunshots at Thee Factory. When officers arrived on the scene at Thee Factory, there were over 300 panicked patrons who were running away and entering into a makeshift parking area across Martin Luther King Drive.

Officers also found numerous shell casings and narcotics in the immediate area of the damaged vehicle and Thee Factory as they examined the crime scene, according to Lt. Cheshire.
