East Bladen senior Ashley Hardin has been chosen as a recipient of the 2018 Carolina Panthers Community Captain Award that is presented by the Panthers and Guy Roofing.

This program honors outstanding student-athletes who excel in the classroom and in the community. A $500 donation in Hardin’s name will be made to the East Bladen athletic department.

An excerpt from Hardin’s letter from the Panther Community Relations Department reads, “Your passion for serving others while also working to achieve high academic and athletic standards has not gone unnoticed by your teachers and coaches who have nominated you for this award.”

Hardin and a guest are invited to the Panthers home game on November 25th against the Seattle Seahawks. She will be honored along with other 2018 Community Captains during a special in-stadium presentation during the game.

In a letter to Hardin, Panther Coach Ron Rivera said, “Thank you for the many ways in which you lead by example and serve as a positive role model for your peers and community.”
