1. Mark your calendar. Bladenboro Historical Society’s Fun Day is scheduled Sept. 12. It will be held on the grounds of the Bladenboro Farm Life School next to Bladenboro Middle School. The event serves as a fundraiser to help support the Bladenboro Farm Life School.
2. Join a ranger and learn about the geological mysteries of the Carolina Bays. Formation theories, and the natural communities associated with Carolina Bays will be discussed. Participants should meet at the Jones Lake Park Visitor center at 10 a.m. It’s free. Call 588-4550 for information.
3. According to Farmers Almanac, today and Wednesday are best for baking, cutting firewood, cutting hair to increase growth, castrate farm animals, dig holes, wean, potty train and wax floors. Take your pick.
