A faulty alarm sensor caused the fire alarm to activate on Thursday afternoon at West Bladen High School.

According to Bladen County Schools social media, at approximately 1:15 pm Thursday the fire alarm at the school was activated. All students and staff are safe and accounted for. After inspection, it appears that a faulty sensor in the alarm system caused the activation. The fire department has given the all clear and everyone has returned to class.
