The Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Elizabethtown recently held recognitions for Mothers of the Year, Cadet Kieara Porter and the 2018 graduates.

Mothers-of-the-Year who were recognized were  Ardenlian “Dean” Jessup and Hilda F. Cromartie.  Ardenlian Jessup was selected due to her enthusiasm and effectiveness in all that she does as a member.  She is dedicated to the ushers ministry and the United Voices Choir.  Hilda Cromartie is a very committed mother.  She is extremely friendly, outgoing and a friend to all that attend the worship services during her ushering experience.  She is known for her magnificent and famous “chicken salad”.  Theses are a just a few of their wonderful and brilliant qualities.

Cadet Kieara Porter is a member of da Branch’s Youth Ministry and the Youth-Teen Choir.  She has been recognized by the Military Officers Association of America for her demonstrated exceptional potential for military leadership.  She is a rising senior at West Bladen High School.  Pictured with her are Rev. Dr. Louie Boykin, Pastor and First Lady, Dr. Katrina Boykin.

Baldwin Branch recognized their 2018 graduates from Pre-kindergarten to primary school, primary to middle school, middle to high school, high school to college, college grads and their NC Theological Seminary graduates.  Jamari Adams-Peterson, Jabari Adams-Peterson and Braylon Cromartie provided the offertory declaration.  Members obtaining degrees prior to 2018 participated as the alumni.  Dr. Albert Kirby, NC Superior Court Judge, District 4A was the guest speaker.  His message to all assembled was “The Power of Knowledge”.
