The Baltimore Community Center has been a vital hub for many community members throughout the years. The elderly and young benefit from the rural center in so many different ways.

Recently, Quessie Peterson with the center was presented with a check of approximately $11,000 to assist with the center with child nutrition programs.  The center serves the Carvers Creek, East Arcadia and surrounding areas.

The funds are a portion of a nearly $100,000 federal grant to Bladen County, NC.  According to Robert Hester, the Bladen County Board of Commissioners designated Bladen We Care to work with locals to determine where funds should be designated. Various agencies across the county have received grants. In the photo above, Mac Campbell with Bladen We Care presents Quessie Peterson with the grant funding for the Baltimore Center.
