road_closed_ahead The North Carolina Department of Transportation has announced that Baltimore Road has re-opened to traffic until Monday following a temporary closure for a crossline repair.

According to NC DOT, crews encountered a problem with an overhead utility and could not work around the issue. Baltimore Road has been re-opened until the utility relocation is completed. Plans at this time call for Baltimore Road to close to traffic again on Monday.

CLOSINGS:

Browntown Road

The northern end of Browntown Road in Columbus County will be closed from Thursday until late Friday afternoon for full depth pavement repairs to the road.  Although the road is in Columbus County, it affects Bladen County travel as it is the connector between Carter Road and Mooretown Road out to NC 87.

UPCOMING CLOSINGS:

Baltimore Road

Beginning Monday, March 21, NC DOT will again close Baltimore Road at a location 0.01 miles northeast of Cord Road in order to replace a crossline pipe.  It is estimated the road will remain closed for about two days.

Boggy Branch Road

Beginning Wednesday, March 23, NC DOT will close Boggy Branch Road at a location 0.06 miles from NC 211 in order to replace a crossline pipe.
