Clinton capitalized on seven West Bladen errors to score eight unearned runs and defeated the Knights 8-4 Tuesday night in Four County Conference baseball action at Clinton.

Six of those errors, 2 hits and a walk produced six Clinton runs in the third inning. A dropped fly ball led to another Dark Horse run in the fourth, and a batter reached on a passed third strike and scored the final Clinton run in the sixth inning.

Sophomore Weston Pidgeon belted a single to begin the West Bladen fifth inning. Junior Jeremy Hunt reached base on an error, and senior Trevor Lesane bounced an infield hit over third base to drive in Pidgeon with the first Knight run.

The Knights tacked on 3 more runs in the seventh. Pidgeon reached base on an error, and catcher Brandon Carson drew a walk. Lesane slugged a 2-run double to drive in Pidgeon and senior Malcolm Vaught, the courtesy runner for Carson. Sophomore Trent West smacked a single to drive in Lesane.

Lesane finished 2-3 with a double and 3 runs batted in. Pidgeon, Hunt, senior Colby McLean, West, and  senior Michael Pastore added one hit each to the seven-hit Knight attack.

Pidgeon scored 2 runs and Vaught and Lesane scored one run each for the Knights. West had one rbi.
