Clinton scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning to pull away and beat West Bladen 10-5 on Tuesday in a Four County 1A/2A Conference junior varsity baseball game.

Logan Spell was the winning pitcher for Clinton. Trey Storms took the loss for the Knights.

Brandon Carson, Scott Bowen, Caleb Sholar, Jonathan Robinson, Colby Smith and Cameron Peterson had hits for West Bladen.

The teams were tied 3-3 after 3 1/2 innings when rain and thunder delayed the game for about 30 minutes. When the game resumed, the teams continued to battle on even terms until the seventh when Clinton erupted for five runs.

West Bladen is 5-3 overall and 2-2 in the conference. The Knights are scheduled to host East Columbus on Wednesday in a non-conference and play at Midway on Friday in a conference game.
