ELIZABETHTOWN — Evan Pait struck out 10 in six innings and Zamar Lewis ended the game with a bases-clearing double Tuesday night as East Bladen defeated West Bladen 11-1 at Russell Priest Field.
The win kept the Eagles unbeaten after five games, including Tuesday’s victory in the Southeastern Athletic Conference opener. They’ve outscored the opposition 66-11 this season.

West Bladen, 3-3 overall and 0-1 in the SAC, is scheduled to play at Hobbton on Thursday before hosting East Bladen on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
Pait threw 90 pitches, 60 for strikes, in keeping West Bladen off the scoreboard until allowing an unearned run in the sixth. The right-hander allowed three hits and walked one.
Bryley Williams started on the mound for West Bladen and allowed five runs, four earned, on five hits with a walk and a strikeout in 3.1 innings. Alex Brisson pitched 1.2 inning and gave up four run, two earned. Aaron Wren recorded an out before Lewis ended it with his double.
Lewis went 3-for-4 with a double and triple, scored twice and drove home four runs. Coleman Tatum drove in a pair of runs with a single in fourth that put the Eagles ahead 5-0. Ethan Johnson had a run-producing single in the third and a sacrifice fly in the sixth. Tyler Johnson was 2-for-3 with a RBI. Chase Starkloff and Pait also had hits.
For West Bladen, Alex Strange was 2-for-2 and Williams had a fourth-inning single.
East Bladen scored a run in the first. Starkloff reached on an error, stole second and third, then scored on Garrison Tatum’s ground out
Run-scoring singles by Starkloff and Ethan Johnson in the third gave East Bladen a 3-0 lead. Coleman Tatum’s single made it 5-0 in the fourth. In the fifth, a triple by Lewis scored courtesy runner Nyquan Richardson and then Lewis scored on Tyler Johnson’s base hit that gave the Eagles a 7-0 advantage.
West Bladen plated its lone run in the sixth when Devon Strange walked, moved to third on an error and scored on a sacrifice fly to right by Williams that made it 7-1.
East Bladen sealed it in the bottom of the sixth with four runs that stopped the game because of the 10-run rule. Marlan Davis opened with a walk and later scored on Ethan Johnson’s sacrifice fly. Lewis’ drive scored Weston Hatcher, Ahmad Powell and Nyquan Richardson to end the game.
