DUBLIN – A 5-run third-inning broke open a 1-0 game and propelled St. Pauls to a 12-0 non-conference baseball victory over West Bladen Friday night.

Two misplayed fly balls, 3 walks and a bad-hop single keyed the Bulldog rally that only included one clean hit. St. Pauls added 3 runs in the fourth and 3 more in the fifth.

Senior Weston Pidgeon batted 2-3 to lead the West Bladen hitters. Freshman Logan West cracked a single in his only at-bat but was injured by the bad-hop smash in the third inning. Junior Trey Storms and senior Cody Garner added one hit each to the 5-hit Knight attack.

Senior Trent West started on the mound for the Knights and was relieved by Storms.

West Bladen will host South Robeson Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
