BLADENBORO – St. Pauls capitalized on 7 hits, 6 West Bladen errors, 14 walks and 3 hit batsman to pile up 23 runs and claim a 23-2 Southeastern Athletic Conference baseball victory Tuesday.

Will Brooks batted 2-for-4 with a double, 2 runs batted in and 3 runs scored to lead the Bulldog hitters. Josh Henderson and Antonio Candelaria scored 4 runs each and added 1 hit each. Zious Dorley doubled, scored 3 runs and had 3 RBIs. Kemarion Baldwin and Patrick Baker added 1 hit each.

The Bulldogs scored 10 runs in the 1st inning and tallied 9 runs in the 4th inning and 4 more in the fifth. T. J Parker pitched 4 innings and allowed 2 runs on 1 hit and a walk while striking out four. Cameron Revels struck out 3 batters in a hitless inning of relief.

Junior Hunter Elks walked and senior Alex Strange reached base on an error to begin the Knights 1st inning. Senior Brycen Blackmon reached base on a fielder’s choice that retired Alex Strange, and senior Alex Brisson drilled a double to left-center field that scored Jahmar Richardson, the courtesy runner for Elks, and Blackmon.

Junior Garrison Carr, Brisson, seniors Josh Russ and Devon Strange and junior Aaron Wren all saw time on the mound for the Knights.

The Knights, now 1-6 in SAC-7 play and 5-8 overall, will travel to St. Pauls Friday night.
