A large crowd of golfers arrived Saturday at Vineyard Golf to play in the Bay Tree Lakes Volunteer Fire Department’s annual golf tournament. The event raises money for the department.
Sixty golfers formed 15 teams in two flights to swat the golf ball around on the fairways and manicured miniverde greens at the White Lake course.
The winners were:
First Flight
First Place (57): Jake Womble, Luke Gooden, Cade Hancock, Walton Fisher.
Second Place (60): Billy McGavock, Rudy Williams, Kent Porter, Mark Mendell.
Third Place (61): Charles Atkinson, Adam Atkinson, Matt Haynes, Eddie Goldway.
Second Flight
First Place (65-Scorecard playoff): Steve Mills, Steve Godwin, Butch Maultsby, Joe Hulon.
Second Place (65): Jonathan McLaughlin, Ricky Davis, Brandon Davis, Scott Davis.
Third Place (66): Jeff Campbell, Mark Dixon, Charlie Kiess, Elmer Tessenear.
Closest To The Pin Contest: Women – Pam Davis, Men – Chris Herrmann.
Long Drive Contest: Women – Maryann Olsen, Men – Blake Sandlin.
Putting Contest was won by Marvin Tatum.
