The Annual Bay Tree Volunteer Fire Department Golf Tournament was held Saturday, June 3 at Vineyard Golf. The winning team taking first place in the first flight was Lee Todd, Bill Edwards, Joey Todd and Emery White. They had a 14-under par 58. Taking second place in the first flight was Lamarr Johnson, John Lovette, Don Pigffgrie and Tommy Culbreth. They shot 12-under 60. The third place team in the first flight consisted of Darryl Davis, Kent Porter, Roger Davis and Mark Mendel. Their team had 9-under par 63.
The winning team taking first place in the second flight was Bob Latham, Dwight Sheppard, David Latham and Derek Walsh. They tied two other teams and the winners were decided by a scorecard playoff. They all shot 7-under 65. Taking second place was Jim Woodruff, Charles Lewis, George Woodruff and Bobby Davis. Third place was won by Jeff Atkinson, Nathan Richardson, Richard Wilkins and Dickie Wilkins.
Closest to the pin was won by (#2) Kent Porter, (5) Max Robeson, (12) Emery White and (16) Emery White. The long drive was won by James Thompson.
